Dean of Students Office – Student Worker

Job Title:  DOS Student Worker

Department:  Student Affairs

Location: DOS Office Suite in Main Hall

Essential Functions:

  • General office work including answering phones and greeting visitors and students, transferring calls, taking detailed messages, photocopying, faxing, printing, typing documents (Microsoft Word creating or editing spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel).
  • Taking outgoing mail to the mailroom and checking DOS’s mailbox and distributing mail to the appropriate boxes in the work room.
  • Complete office projects and copy assignments assigned by Dean of Students Office staff members.
  • Special projects may include
    • creating posters/fliers/brochures in Canva, decorating bulletin boards, data entry, updating office forms.
    • Assisting with the execution and planning of event programming.
  • Communicate regularly with Director and Coordinator of Student Engagement
  • Agree to all expectations of confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Work Environment:

  • Position typically works in an office environment.
  • Requires standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time. May occasionally lift 10/15 lbs.

Pay: $12.00/Hour

Hours: Shifts available Monday through Friday 9-5 pm. Opportunity for weekend hours available dependent upon event schedules

Length of Employment: November 2024 to Graduation

You will also be required to complete FERPA training (online) and work and confidentiality agreements. You will not be able to begin work or get paid before you complete these items. See the Human Resources Office, located in Main Hall for more information on the required documentation. The HR office is located in Main Hall and is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 pm.
